Bathing and Showering with Dignity
Clients say needing assistance with daily bathroom tasks is one of the most private and embarrassing aspects of accepting home care support. Asking for help is scary.
However, at Impactful Home Care, you shouldn’t be afraid. Our caregivers handle these responsibilities with grace and professionalism. They ensure boundaries are maintained and encourage you to take the lead in completing these bathroom tasks.
Getting Dressed According to Your Style
Helping our clients with getting dressed is more than just assisting them with putting on and taking off outfits.
Our caregivers have patience and understanding when approaching this task, because they know some parts of this procedure can be frustrating for clients.
They ask the clients what outfits they want to wear and how to accessorize those outfits, because they know the clients’ sense of style and fashion are important to their identities.
Oral Hygiene for Your Total Wellness
Oral hygiene is a crucial part of your health. Research has linked poor oral health to numerous illnesses including heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory infections. That’s why personal assistants take this part of the job very seriously.
They help with your brushing, flossing, mouthwash rinsing to prevent such health risks from arising.
In addition to the daily routine, our caregivers assist with oral hygiene in other ways. They encourage clients to limit eating sugary snacks and to go to all of their dental visits.
Protecting Your Skin, Hair, and Nails
Helping protect your skin, hair, and nails is a final key component of our hygiene and grooming services.
This includes ensuring clients use the appropriate shampoo, conditioners, and brushes for their hair. They’ll also regularly inspect clients’ skin for early detection of issues such as redness, dry patches or pressure ulcers (bed sores).
